Will My Pattern Fit My Fabric?

How it works
Max stitches = (fabric size − 2 × margin) × stitches per inch, rounded down. Measure the fabric after squaring the edges, because fabric sold as a "fat quarter" or pre-cut piece is often not exactly the advertised size.
If it doesn't fit
- Use a smaller margin. Keep at least enough for your frame or hoop.
- Switch to a higher count, such as 14 to 16 or 18.
- Rotate the design if the fabric is closer to its orientation.
